Seaweed is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals from iron and magnesium to vitamins E and K. The coral-like seaweed used in our scrub, Lithothamnium species, is a rich source of calcium and like the minerals, iodine and zinc, is extremely important for healthy and hydrated skin.

Love Kinvara Products
I am using the Rosehip serum for years and I always get comments on my skin, have recently purchased the cleansing oil, moisturiser and exfoliating powder and they are simply the best. Would not change to anything else, Kinvara skincare really is the best. Have recommended to many of my friends

What is a waterless face exfoliator and why choose one?

A waterless face exfoliator is a dry powder that only activates when you add water, turning into a gentle, lightly foaming paste. With no water in the formula, there's no need for preservatives either, which is kinder to your skin and to the environment. Ours is a unique marine-based formula with 5 vitamins, 2 seaweeds and marine minerals, leaving your skin soft, smooth and glowing.

Should you use an exfoliating face wash every day?

We don't recommend exfoliating every day. Over-exfoliating can leave skin feeling sensitive and stripped, so it's all about balance! Use our Elemental Exfoliating Powder once a week. On other days, cleanse gently with our Absolute Cleansing Oil.

How often should I exfoliate my face?

Start with once a week, then build up to twice a week if your skin feels it needs it. Listen to your skin: if it feels tight or sensitive, scale back.

How do I exfoliate a sensitive face?

Choose a gentle face exfoliator and a light touch! Our superfine Elemental Exfoliating Powder gives a soft lather with no harsh surfactants or preservatives. Many of our customers with sensitive skin say it leaves no redness. Mix about 3 shakes with water into a paste, massage gently in circles, avoiding the eye area, then rinse and moisturise. Start with once a week, and always patch test first.

Can I use it around my eyes?

Please avoid the eye area. If any powder gets into your eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water.

What does microbead-free mean and why is it important?

Microbeads are tiny plastic particles found in many scrubs and shower gels. They wash down the drain, can't be filtered out by water treatment plants, and end up in our oceans, where sea creatures mistake them for food. We were the first Irish skincare brand recognised by the international Beat the Microbead campaign, and our Elemental Exfoliating Powder is certified microbead-free.
