Clean Beauty

Kinvara Skincare Champions

Clean Beauty

For us, put simply, Clean Beauty means a product that is safe for people and the planet. It is a non-toxic, plant-based product that is mindfully created, ethically sourced and made with both human and environmental health in mind.

Our products are plant powered and formulated to leave out as much as possible, as evidenced through our waterless, powder and oil only formulations.

We adopt a precautionary approach to product development and work to the COSMOS guidelines using plant extracts wherever possible.  We consider the impact our products will have to ensure they are safe for people and the planet, with clean skincare products that actually work.

This is demonstrated with Over 75 International Awards our product range has received.

Free From Formulations

Each Kinvara formulation contains ingredients rich in omega fatty acids, antioxidants, anti-inflammatories, minerals and amazing active ingredients like hyaluronic acid. These ingredients are the building blocks of all Kinvara products. We source the ingredients primarily from plant extracts in different forms as well as minerals, clays and seaweeds.

“One of the things that makes Kinvara skincare so effective is not just that we use plants extracts but that we use such a high % of plants extracts, effectively making Kinvara products ml for ml some of the most plant powered products on the market today”, Joanne Reilly PhD, Kinvara Skincare founder and CEO.

Ingredients

You need to know what is in your product, simple as. We adopt a conservative approach to product development such that any dubious ingredients are left out.

To that end we go above and beyond compliance requirements and place ingredients both on the box and on the label – because we know that most people throw away the box almost immediately, and usually that means they’ve thrown away the list of what's in their product – this is no good to you if you want to find out something later.

We go a step even further by trying to help inform you as to how many and what kind of ingredients are in our products – we do that in the skincare by numbers panel printed on each carton. It gives us a quick snapshot of what is in your product and also what is not.

Our customers are really interested in what's not in our products so to that end we can tell you that our products do not contain the parabens, propylene glycol,  mineral oils, synthetic colours, synthetic fragrances, GMO ingredients or silicones amongst others.

Certifications

We are 100% vegan and cruelty free. We are approved by PETA -  People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) which is the largest animal rights organisation in the world.

We became the first Irish Skincare brand recognised by the international campaign 'Beat the Microbead' campaign for our proactive ban on microplastic beads in cosmetic products worldwide most notably,  for the newly rebranded Elemental Exfoliating Powder.

“As a sustainable brand, it’s important to show leadership and help bring awareness to the use of microbeads and their destructive impact on our oceans.  We live by the sea, we swim in it, sail in it and use harvested seaweeds in our products… The sea and marine ecosystem are incredibly important to us” Dr. Joanne Reilly PhD, founder and CEO of Kinvara Skincare.

Allergy/Allergens

There are no ingredients with dairy or gluten added to any of our products. While the risk of contamination is unlikely, the fact that our products are made in a facility handling other ingredients means we cannot  say it is impossible.

Some of our products contain nuts (tree and ground) and sesame oil. It clearly states this on the carton for the products in question.

Allergens are naturally occurring parts of essential oils that some people have difficulty with. EU regulations require cosmetic companies to state which, if any of the agreed 26 allergens, are to be found in their products. We do this at the end of the list of ingredients, where they are written in italics.

Variations

We use lots of plant oils in our products. As with everything grown naturally, these can vary from crop to crop and year to year. Hence please expect some degree of variation between batches of product in characteristics such as colour and smell.
