We at Kinvara are always looking for ways to be more sustainable, community conscious and how to get our community involved in everything we do so we were over the moon to find out about Greenspark.
Greenspark was founded on the belief that “business as normal” simply won’t cut it anymore.
This platform was designed to help set us on the path to sustainability by supporting certified projects that not only plant trees, prevent or sequester carbon and plastic but also have a long term positive social impact.
The Projects We Support
Greenpark seeks out projects that are vetted for their social and environmental goals while promoting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, so that we can all maximise our positive impact for both the planet, and its people. They support projects that help transform plastic waste into empowering income, empower small-scale farmers in rural India by providing the financial and economic resources to transform wasteland into fertile forestland and fight extreme poverty by planting trees to name a few.
Eden Reforestation Projects
Eden Projects is on a mission to combat deforestation by employing local communities to plant trees, providing an empowering means to alleviate extreme poverty through environmental stewardship. This projects supports 5 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals which are: End poverty in all its forms everywhere, Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all, Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns, Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts and Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss. 
Plastic Bank
Plastic Banks and their Transforming Plastic Waste Into Empowering Income
are committed to build ethical recycling ecosystems in coastal communities while simultaneously creating positive economic opportunities for those who helped collect it.
Plastic Bank promotes the circular economy by monetising plastic waste. Their collectors receive a premium for the materials they collect which helps them provide basic family necessities. The collected material is reborn as Social Plastic® which can be easily reintegrated into products and packaging as part of a closed-loop supply chain.
With this project Greenspark and Plastic Bank are supporting another 5 of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, which are: To end poverty in all its forms everywhere, Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all, Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and foster innovation, Conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and marine resources for sustainable development and Strengthen the means of implementation and revitalise the global partnership for sustainable development.
THE IMPACT
With the help of all the communities that form Greenspark, they have been able to plant over 409,000 trees which is equivalent to 163.93 hectare of forest area planted, collect over 620,000 plastic bottles which is equivalent 24.831 million straws worth of plastic removed from landfills and sequestered over 4.4 million tonnes of CO2 which is the equivalent to 4,724.197 roundtrip flights from London to Los Angeles worth of carbon saved.
We have just started at Kinvara but after the first day of our campaign, Monday 16th of May, you have already helped us plant 40 trees and we are ready to go for many more. For the rest of the month of May and in light of Love a Tree Day we will be planting a tree for every order you place with us. We want to assure you this will not be a one of thing, we will strive to continue supporting the other projects Greenspark has available for us to make a difference with your help. Together we can plant trees, remove plastic from landfills, save CO2 & help communities.
