    Top 16 Skincare Resolutions to Make for 2018

    1. I will take my makeup off every night. Sleeping with your makeup on clogs your pores and can lead to fine lines and wrinkles.
    2. I will use SPF everyday, even in Winter and cloudy, rainy days! If your moisturiser does not contain SPF, wear makeup that has at least SPF30. Sun damage accounts for 80-90% of premature aging! We recommend mineral powder foundation, its natural mineral pigments literally bounces the UV rays off your skin. (TIP: Dont wear mineral foundation if you’re expecting to have your picture taken - you’ll be white and ghostly if you do).
    3. I will exfoliate my skin. Exfoliating helps to get rid of dead skin cells and helps boost cell regeneration. NO scrubbing, let the product do the work!
    4. I will use an eye serum. The skin around your eyes is the thinnest and needs extra care as you get older. It's where you’ll show signs of ageing and partying first!
    5. I will pat not rub my face serum on. Face serum is better patted on the skin rather than rubbed in as the active ingredients penetrate the skin better this way.
    6. I will follow the 1 Minute Rule. Apply products immediately after cleansing as your skin is primed to absorb them. The Koreans recommend 3 seconds but within 1 minute is fine.
    7. I will take care of my neck and decolletage. Do to your neck and decolletage, what you do to your face!
    8. I will take my makeup off before going to the gym. Working out in a full face of makeup will most likely clog your pores and lead to breakouts as you're working up a sweat under foundation or powder. Let your skin breathe!
    9. I will keep a consistent skincare routine. Following a consistent routine is the best way to get results and to keep your skin at its’ optimum. We recommend oil cleansing, and applying eye serum, face serum and moisturiser.
    10. I will get at least 7 hours of sleep a night. Skin repairs itself at night and creates new collagen which is important for keeping your skin plump and youthful. It’s called Beauty Sleep for a reason!
    11. I will apply products in the right order. Follow the Golden Rule, thinnest first! Applying products in the wrong order makes them less efficient.
    12. I will use hand cream at least once a day. Use a cream to nourish your hands, they are exposed to the elements every day! Apply one at night and throughout the day especially after washing hands.
    13. I will wash my makeup brushes twice a week. Makeup brushes are a breeding ground for germs that you don’t want to transfer to your face.
    14. I will avoid products with harsh chemicals. Harsh chemicals disrupt the natural pH level of the skin and remember the body absorbs up to 60% of what is applied on it!
    15. I will patch test all new products and only introduce 1 new product at a time. Respect your skin by patch tesing it first for ALL new products.
    16. I will NOT buy anything just because it has a nice box. Don't be lured by clever marketing! Be more concerned about ingredients rather than how pretty the product is!
